I OPERA HOUSE. The Williamson Musical Comedy Company presented their brilliant farce, "Qoing lip," at the Grand Opera House arain last evening. "Going Up" shows a distinct a'dvance on much of the musical comedy of the past, for- it possesses a real plot which towards its conclusion keeps the audience in a state of delightful suspense. The Grand Opera House will be occupied by the present firms Going Up combination till that date. KING'S THEATRE. . -< The hearty appreciation which the public ha accorued the. splendid pictorial and musical programme at the Aing s Theatre was again evidenced by lust night's attendance. The Goklwyn teature "Thais," with Mary Garden as tho star, was suitably introduced by » "Dauso Ivgyptieime" by Miss lidna Hell. < This film is a very spectacular production, with- correct historic costuming and excellent scenes depicting, the times in which the story is laid. The Kings augmented orchestra provided music oi a very high quality, and the whole programme was received with generous applause. The cornet solo by Mr. b. Ueruard was also a feature. .Reserved seats may be • booked at the Bristol or at telephone 3143 after 6.30 in the evening. The programme will be shown for two nights longer.
