Lord Midleton's Anti-I'artition League includes twelve Irish-peers, A number of large landowners have joined the movement. The new league coneiders that Ulster possesses undue influence in Irish, Unionist politics. The Unionist Alliance subsequently issued a statement denying that it tavoure<l partition. On the contrary, its members were unalterably opposed to Home Rule for the whole or any part Of IrelaixL The "Morning Post" expects that the schism will have far-reaching consequences, and fays: "The seceders apparently anticipate another attempt to enforce Home Rule.
