THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications arts for variable winds, strong southerly breezes predominating. Weathor cloudy and unsettled with rain probable generally. Baromoter has a rising tendency. Atmospheric pressure has inoreaeed in the south, and continues low and unsteady in the north. Tho weather has proved cooler, skies overcast, and rain has fallen tin most parts of the Dominion. Strong south-westerly winds 'have ruled, particularly in and south of Cook Strait. D. 0. BATES.
