Society the chairman reported that the matter'of holdine vnm fairs nt pßimerston North mid Feilding alternately' '' was still in abeyance. »< The matter of n'.bvoederp' club was discussed, and it was decided that the special committee which had been nppoiiitwl should confer at the earliest possible moment in order to make suggestions to the next meetin,.'. ■The Winter Show Committee's report, which provided, for new iflwH in the • dairy produce section, reinstatement of the "<l<v? trials, and the addition of a smoke 'concert, was adopted. The date ..of'the show was fixed for June 19, 20, 21. and 22. Mr. J. A; M'Ttae pointed out. that the grouping of cattle, which had been tried ai'tlie recent show, was not n. success, and lie moved that in future it should be. abolished. Jlr. Lancaster, who had been one of the stewards contended that the new method had proved of considerable advantage- both to exhibitors and the public. Ultimately it was decided to refer the matter-to the Cattle Committee and cattle stewards for report. A se.nercil discussion took plnco -as to the advisability of endeavouring to got other A.; and 1?. shows to co-opETate, a.nd all adopt some in connection with siipplyiiitr feed. It was further pointed out that some FOciftie.i already niade small charges for feed. This soeiety. li!id.::tbe_namp. of ..beine the most liberal in the supply nf feed in the Dominion. It was eventually decided to set .up a special committee to go into the whole question and bring down a suitable scheme for dealing with x the matter.
