A CENTRE PARTY FORMED FOR THE PROMOTION OF SELFGOVERNMENT By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright London, January 25. An Irish "Centre Party" has been formed to promote self-government in Ireland within the Empire, .under a'Central Parliament for National Affairs end Provincial Assemblies for Provincial Affairs. Sir, S. L. Gwynn (Nationalist M.P. for Galway) is chairman, and General Sir Hubert Cough, commander of (ho Fifth Army during the retreat from St. Quentin, is a member of the commit-tee.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. HUNT MEETINGS TO STOP , PENDING RELEASE OF SINN FEIN PRISONERS. London, January 25. The Sinn Fein Executivo has instructed the hunt clubs to stop hunt meetings in Ireland, pending the release of the Sinn Fein prisoners.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
