Shortly' after the express from Dunedin to Christchurch pcssed Studholme Junction yesterday some employees of the Labour Department discovered the body of , a newly-born infant, wrapped in paper. On the arrival of the express at Christchurch police investigations were made, but without result The body of the. child was removed to Waimate, where an inquest will be held. The circumstances suggest ihat the body wae dropped from the train.
