A STOREMAN'S SUICIDE

An inquest was held to-day touching the death of ■■ John Brown, etoremaii, who was found hanging on warehouse premises. James Higgins stated that Brown had had a terrible experience during the influenza epidemic period, having lost his wife and his eon and several near relatives. These people hud all been laid up in Brown's house, and Brown had assisted in nursing them. He- - seemed to brood over the experience and became very gloomy and silent /IVitiicss did not tliink Brown had any intention . of doing awny with'himself, and never heard him make mention of-such a ™.« Bibility. Another witness said tnav Brown had been a thoroughly conscientious man and a reliable workman. Hβ complained that lie had not Heen , able to sleep well of late. He was very depressed yesterday. 'The Coroner recorded a verdict that deceased committed suicide by hanging during a fit of melancholia, consequent on severe domestio affliction. ■■ ■ .
