THE COST OF THE WAE. (Rec. January 26, 5.30 p.m.) Melbourne, January 26. The Ministers' Conference resolved that Australia was justly entitled to be indemnified by the onemy countries for tie. monetary cost the war, had entailed. The sub-committee on repatriation, presented a report recomnvmctinp-that upon all advances by tie Commonwealth, to the States, in connection with repatriation, tho rate of interest be 1 per cent, less than the cost to the Commonwealth, and that the maximum individual advance be i£625. The conference adjourned.—Press Assn.
