THE GERMAN INDEMNITY
WHAT MIGHT BE EXPECTED. •(Rec. January 26, 5.5 p.m.) New York, January 23. The Chicago "News" Paris correspondent states that Germany might be expected to pay an annual indemnity ol five hundred 'million pounds, provided she were allowed to resume her normal commercial, and national life.
