LONDON SHOOTING TRAGEDY.

At the inquest on Major Seton, who was found shot dead in his cousin's house after an interview with LieutenantColonel Rutherford, it was etatod that Seton frequently visited Mrs. Rutherford during her husband's absence.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. '* VERDICT OF WILFUL MURDER, ' (Rcc. January 25, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 24. Mrs. Rutherford, who is n handsome woman, was present. The Rutherford's maid i gave evidence that the marriago was an unhappy one. On the day of the tragedy Rutherford locked up his wife in the latter's room. The coroner read a letter from Mrs. Rutherford, written last October, begging her husband to divorce her. A verdict-was returned of wilful mur-der.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. . ,
