NEW ISSUE OF WAR BONDS
' STOCK EXCHANGE CRITICISMS. London, January 21. There fire many criticisms on the Stock Exchange regarding the new issue of war bonds. Numbers considw the interest, is at least 50 per cent, too high. Some talk of a breach of faith in mating the new issue practically the same as the old after the public had been invited not to miss the last chance of securiug bonds before last Saturday. ''■ Consols', have dropped to .£59 7s. Cd., Peninsular, and Oriental shares to .£409, Australian Mercantile to JEG9 55., Goldsborough, Mort to .£7B 10s.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
