f'Billio" Carletcm, who had been appearing with Mr. Denis ' Eadie in • 'The Freedom of the Seas" at the Haymarket Theatre, was found dead in her flat in the Strand after a fancydress ball at the Albert Hall. The evidence at tho inquest disclosed the remarkable' dtaig-tafcing 1 habits of a certain theatrical circle,. including "dopo" parties, where opium and cocaine were dispensed, and also gavo details of visits to the Limehouse opium dens. ; in opium party was arranged at the house of Reginald Deveulle, in Dover Street, London, and was attended by "Billio", Carleton. It was a disgraceful orgy, members of tho party remaining in a comatose condition until the following afternoon.] .
