DRIVERS' DISPUTE CONFERENCE PROCEEDING. A conference between employers of drivers and representatives of the New Zealand Drivers' Federation was opened in Wellington yesterday. The purpose of the conference is to consider proposals from the union for the making of a new agreement as to wages and working conditions. The conference adjourned until to-day, only preliminaries having heen discussed. It will be remembered that these parties mot for the same purpose in JNovembor, but the conference on that occasion was interrupted by the armistice, and the outbreak of influenza The employers subsequently made the men an offer which, after 'consideration by the unions, was rejected.
