NATIONAL EFFICIENCY BOARD

ITS TASKS DONE,

"' Tho National Efficiency Board was set -up to help the Government to deal with some of the special difficulties created by the war. Now that the war is over there will be no more tasks, and the board is taking oil no new work. This, means that it will be closing down within a measurable time. It is understood, in fact, that the closing down process has already begun. It is not correct, as has been, rumoured, that the Government has accepted the resignation of tho board. Most of .the new difficulties to the Government in the future will have to; do with tho absorption of the dis- * charged mon when they come hoitc from foreign service, but this work is the concern, of the. Repatriation Department.

A OHBISTCHURCH STORY.
