DEPRESSION FOLLOWING INFLUENZA

At the inquest on Andrew Henderson, farmer, of Methvcn, whose body was found in the river Avon at New Brighton, a brother' said that deceased had had influenza, followed by double pneumonia, which loft him depressed .and mentally weak. He was staying at New Brighton,' and nn Saturday wrs missing from his bed. The brother, found a note which stated that owing to the death of one of his favourite brothers from inHuensn, and also because of liis own ill-health., he must put an end to himself. The verdict was one of drowned while temporarily insane.
