SHIPOWNERS' FEDERATION
ANNUAL MEETING. . The annual meeting of the New Zealand Shipowners' Federation was.held yesterday. The following were present: —Messrs! J. M. Deck (chairman), H./ L. Nathan, A. J. Fernic, W. H. G. Bennett, H. A. Rothwell, C. A. Eckford, AY. E. Fuller, W. Rodgers, C. F. Turner, N. J. C. Anderson, and Captains Hammond, Petersen, M'Arthur, and Hull. '''~, i i The annual report and balance-sliet were adopted on" the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr. Bennett. The retiring members of the executive committee—Messrs. Bennett, Fernie, Fuller, and Captain M\»i'thur— were re-elected, and Mr. S.'S. Heath was added to the committee Mr. Deck found it necessary to leave the meeting in order to travel by the Auckland express. Mr. Bennett took tho opportunity of expressing appreciation of tho services of Mr. Deck as chairman of tho federation for tho last two years. Other speakers endorsed the remarks made in this connection by Mr. Bennett. Mr. Deck replied by expressing thanks for the kind remark" .■""!
