FORECAST AND SUMMARY . AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for hiEh westerly winds and changeable squally woatlier, with rain probable, especially in all the western. districts. Barometer unsteady with a falling tendency. Tho barometer has risen in the north and fallen steadily in tho ■ south since Sunday. Bain has been r.eported in the West Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island, but the -weather has been fair to cloudy generally elsewhere with strong westerly winds predominating. B. .V.
