AUSTRALIAN SOLDIERS IN ENGLAND
LARGE CONTINGENT LANDED AT WEYMOUTH. London, January 17. A large contingent of Australians lauded at Weymouth for demobilisation, and the Alexandra Gardens and concert pavilion were taken over, and the men were given refreshments.and a travelling ration. Over 300,000 overseas troops will bo brought in, at the rate of two thousand a day. The arrangements are working smoothly. Tho esplanado is gaily decorated with flags, and tho Anzacs are cheered ns they march'to the station. The Demosthenes has embarked troops and will sail on Friday.—Aus.N.Z. Cable.Assn.
