THEFT OF JEWELS
. BELONGING TO THE DUKE OF OONNAUGHT. London, January 16.-. A footman- employed at Clarence House admitted at the Bow Street Police Court the theft of jewels belonging to" the Duke of Connaught, valued at £60. He said: "It is no use beating about the bush. Princess Patricia handed me the box, and I opened it and took the jewellery.". The accused was remanded.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
