The sale wiis held in tho Lovin yards, when 559 henil of cowb, with calves at foot, empty cowe aunt bulls were offered to a good attendance , of the ipublic. The cattle camo ■ forward in first-class order and condition, and competition throughout the sale was animated, every lino being disposed of under the hummer at highly eatlefactory rates. At the dispersal sale of the Troll-known Oringi Lincoln stud flock on January 15 buyers were present from Mnsterton, Flthiim, Waneanui and Palmcrston North, and up to , Napier, and br their spirited bidding (report Messrs. Williams and Kettle. . DannevirUe) aided them, in getting through 168 different lots by 5 o'clock. Mr. Beattio. Woodville, paid the highest price (95 nuineas) for' a beautiful ram, and received a hearty ovation. The Hook -were yarded in good order and condition, and tho prices epeak for themselves as to the public appreciation of the flock. The yard arrangements wero supervised by Mr. J. Liesinirton. : Prices obtained ranged as follows:—1-shcar ewee, from 13Knc. to ogns.; 2-shear civcb, from Signs, to tens.; J-ehoar ewes aud upwards, 22gns. to ltens.; ram lambs, from 7gns. to Hgns.; tlock rams, from Mgns. to sgue.: stud 2-shear rams, lOyns. to 3gns.: stud rams, 1-ehear, brought 90gns.. 81gns., 50gna. Association. Ltd., Pahiatua, report on the clearing sale on account of Mr. P. Waldmann, of Kaituna. Ponuaroa. held on Wednesday, >and also the monthly Pongaroa salo held on. Thursday, as follows:—At Mr. Waldmarin's to a, small attendance of buyers we offered" -and sold about 700 sheep and .30 head of cattle. The sale wae a dragging one throughout, prices realised beinc decidedly in purchasers' favour. At. Pongaroa a small entry of sheep and a big entry of cattle came forward. ' With the exception of one pen of sheep, we disposed of our entry at auction and by private treaty, but tho inajor portion of the cattle failed to change hands. An exceptionally flnolino of- Lincoln -cross lambs in the wool- Bold at 19s. The following sales were effected':—At..
