NEW ZEALAND UNIVERSITY V.TOURNAMENT
■TO BE REHA'ED THIS YEAH. . After being in abeyance since 1915! on account of the war/ tho 'annual tournament of the New Zealand University is'to :be revived this year.. The last tournament took' place in at Eastei- ■ 1915, and it has been decided to. adhere to tlu> usual order, and to hold the next tourney int Dnnedin, at Easter. , A meeting of f the tournament delegates from tho Students' Associations of the. four af-. iil.iated colleges took place on Friday evening last at Victoria 'University 'College. Thero was a full representation present from each association, 'and all necessary arrangements were .made, so that given tho support of the -students, and of tho public the success of the-revival should be. complete. The tournament has always been: a -source of great interest to and - has received hearty support from'all sections of the .community iu'the centre visited, and this year's gathering,, tlioueh it inny.of nccessifcy.be slightly, modified in' comparison''rritii,tliose of pre-war days, will fofloiv them in all ■ essential featurdsV Tournament tests comprise athletics, tennis, shooting, and debating, in all of which keen rivalry is expected. An additional athletic trophy will be compoted for-this year and in sneceedings years as a result of tho generosity of the late Lieu, tenant Athol Hudson, Rhodes Scholar, and one of tho finest athletes in tho history of the University. By his will the late champion bequeathed a sum for ■ the . provision of a challenge cup for the tlirce-miln flat event. This has been gratefully accepted by tho Tournament Committee, and has been named the. "Athol Hudson' Memorial Challenge' Cup."
