PRACTICAL PRESCRIPTION AGAINST STOMACH ACIDITY.

! . 'By a Specialist.

1 "Ninc-tentlis of all cases of 6tomaclv trouble nowadays," says. a leading specialist, J'are caused by too much acid. In the beginning the stomach itself is not diseased, biit if this aoid condition is'allowed to continue, the acid is very likely to eat into the stomach walls and produce stomach ulcer, which liiay rendex a .radical surgical-operation necessary, even to prolong life. Therefore, an 'acid stomach'is really a dangerous condition and should.be treated seriously. It is utterly useless to take pepsin and ordinary stomach tablets. The excess acid must Ix 3 neutralised by the. administration of an efficient antacid. For this purpose physicians nearly, always recommend taking half a teaspoonful of bisurated magnesia in a,little water after each meal. Largo quantities may be.used, if necessary, as it is absolutely harmless. Bnt be\ sure to get. the bisurated magnesia, as other forms of magnesia have not tile same action in.the stomach as the "bisuraied, and frequently do more harm than gooc'." —Advt.
