AUSTRALIAN STATISTICS. WAR PENSIONS OVEK■'M,OOO,OOO , 'A I'EAR. Statistics relating to pensions and maternity allowances granted up to the end of last year wero issued by the Commonwealth Treasury .recently. The total number of war pensions granted, as at December 27, was 117,U5, in respect of which the aimual liability was ,£4,436,196.
