LARGE CHOCOLATE FACTORY . DESTROYED. .... (Rec. January 17, 10.45 p.m.) Melbourne, January' 17. A fire- destroyed Hoadley's -largo chocolate'factory; '011 tho Saint Eilda Road 1 , with its heavy stocks. The. damage is estimated, roughly,'- at : £45,000. The Victoria Barracks narrowly escaped. A big body of soldiers, by gr.eat efforts, succeeded in preventing damage "beyond 'a wooden outbuilding.—Press Assn.
