STATEMENT BY SIR ERIC GEDDES. (Rec. January 17,- 8.10 p.m.) London, January lo! Sir Eric Geddes, referring to the work of demobilisation, said it was proceeding most satisfactorily: : The number of ■ men- being released had been from eight thousand to twenty thousand daily. It was hoped-soon to release twenty-seven, thousand oversea service men and twenty-five thousand home service men. daily.
