UNDERGROUND WIRELESS
AN AMERICAN INVENTION USED DURING THE WAR. (Rec. January . 16', 5.5 p.m.) Washington, January 12. The Navy Department has announced that an underground and sub-sea wireless American invention had been put into practical use- in the Navy and Army during the war. 'The invontion, which hitherto had been practical only for receiving, can be developed for sending. The inventor refused remunera-tion.—'Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
