THE MOVEMENT IN ARGENTINA SPREADING TO THE PRINCIPAL CITIES. (Rec. January 17, 0.10 a.m.) Buenos Aires, January 15. A hundred and fifty suspects in connection with the Bolshevist movement have been arrested, including j those who 'were to hold the offices or president, chief of police, and other important, positions under the new regime. Reports from the interior <-tate that the movement is spreading to the principal cities, notably Rosarie, where a geneal strike has been.initiated. The strike plans at Monte Video were throttled.—Reuter. SITUATION IN BUENOS AIRES IMPROVING. (Rec. January 16, 10.45 p.m.) Monte Video, January 13. Of the Russians arrested in connection with the strike, four leaders aro reported to have 'Confessed. Isaac Malinof, the ringleader, was a propagandist in Russia. Argentine, dispatches, ex Buenos Aires, say the riots and shooting in the streets continue. Mobs burned the Central Wool Markets. The situation is improving.—Aus.-N.Z-. Cable Assn.
VIGOROUS ACTION BY NEUTRAL GOVERNMENTS (Rec. January 16, 7.20 p.m.) ! London, January 15. Neutral Governments, especially those of Switzerland and Sweden, are taking vigorous action against tho Bol.sheviki. The municipal authorities in several towns in Switzerland, including Geneva, are insisting on' all Russians and Germans registering. The Swedish Government informed the Bolshevik representatives and forty agents that they must leave the country immediately.—Router.
