The meeting, which was well attended, 'was presided over by Mr* D. Clark, senr. The chairman briefly outlined the objects for which the society was being formed, and pointed out that it was not merely for the purpose of ei'iouraging the national games and pai-limoF, but also to bring together Scots in a social way. Tho committee reported that Victoria Hall had been temporarily secured for the meetings of the society. It was reported that already ninety-seven niembers were on the roll, and it was intended .to make the society a largo one, and no efforts would be spared to secure more members. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Chief, Mr. D. Clark; chieftain, Mr. Corbett; secretary, Mr. W. M'Kce; treasurer, Mr. J. Burns; committee, Messrs. D. 11. L. Clark, H. Clark, J. Grant, W. Symons, K. Steele, J. Robertson, nnd "W. Craig.
