.".SETTLEMENT REPORTED MOERAKI TO SAIL TO-DAY By Telosraph—Press Association—Oopyrlght (Reo. January 15, 10.5 p.m.) Sydney, January 14. According to the management of the Union Company the shipping tnwble has ended. A cable message was received this afternoon from tlio head office accepting ithe terms agreed upon at the Sydney conference. It is further stated that the first steamer for New Zealand will sail to-morrow. This will be the Moeraki, which is advertised to leave at noon, and for which passages are being booked and tickets are now being issued. Other steamers will leavo in duo'course. The men will hold a formal meeting to-morrow morning, after which the idle vessels will be manned.—Press Assn. FIXED ADVANCE PROVIDED FOR SEAMEN EXPECTED TO ACCEPT THE AGREEMENT. (Rec. January 16, 1.30 a.m.) . Sydney, January IS. To-morrow morning's meeting of seamen win finally decide whether tho difficulty will bo settled. The secretary of the Seamen's Union anticipates acceptance of the' agreement and the return of the crews to the vessels. The agreement now provides for a fixed advance Tinder given, conditions, in place of the proposed bonus, to which the seamen took exception. The Moeraki and Makura are advertised to sail ioi New Zealand, and the Atua for Fiji, to-morrow afternoon.r— Press Assn. •
