CANTERBURY TEAM FOR THE PLUNKET SHIELD. Br Telegraph-Press Association Chrlstcnurch, January 14. The following team lias been selected to represent Canterbury m the return Plunket Shield match, at' Wellington on •January 22:—.8. B. Wood, N. Jonos, N. Howell. A. W. TJiomas, C. E. Guiney, Dr. P. S. Foster, L. R. Brimton, J. Gray; D. M'Bett, B. H. Booth, N. It. Patrick, and J. M'Ewin. The one to stand J down out of the. twelve selected will not bo decided until the morning of the match.
The Management Committee of tlie Wellington Cr'#;ket Association met last evening, Mr. C. G. Wilson presiding. In connection with the forthcoming Plunkct Shield match, tho secretary reported that the necessary arrangements had been made for the preparation of the wicket. _ The newssary authority for permission to charge for admission to the Basin Reserve to witness the match had been received from the City Council. Other minor details were completed
The question of arranging _ a match vritli the Wanganui Association, to be played at Wangnmii. was suggested in u letter by the p.hairman of the district association. After discussion it was decided to arrange for a team to visit Wangamii to play during the Easter holidays.
