AT < P.M. YESTERDAY, Present indications are- for increasing westerly winds northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and hifjh and squally north-west to south-west winds elsewhere. Expect unsettled, cloudy, .and misty weather, -with rain generally, and heavy rain in Wostland and Otago. Electrioal disturbances are probablo in tho south. Barometer un- ■ steady, Tv-it-h a further falling tendency. Gloomy, unsettled conditions! have prevailed to-day in and southward of Coot Strait, with fog and rain in parts.
