RETAINED AS A RUIN OR MBUILT?
London, January 10. Tim "Daily Express" correspondent in Brussels "statos that the Government's Reconstruction Bill, who proposes to preserve Ypres, Nieuport, mid Dixmude in their presont ruined state, is in danger of being defeated. Ihe Mayor of Ypres is vigorously ur«mg the complete demolition of the nuns and the rebuilding of tho city and the Cloth Hall on the same site, at, a cost of £5,000,000. Tho correspondent, adds that the British, Australian, and New Zealand troops respect the rums of Ypros as a sacred spot, which should ho unmolested.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
