FIRE AT KAIKOURA
WHARF SHED AND CONTENTS , 'DESTROYED.
, Advice was received by\. Messrs. (Levin and. Co.,- Ltd.;' yesterday intimating that the'big wharf shed and contents at'Kaikoura were totally destroyed by fire,yesterday morning.. No information, was available as,to the contents, but it is presumed that th'oy comprised "mostly wool and hemp. Shortly, before the fire occurred the small steamer Wakatu left Kaikoura for Lyttelton"- with some 200 bales of and hemp.
