' By Telwtropli— Prraa Association: Auckland, Jnnuory 8. The Dominion Bowling Tournament commenced to-day in overcast weather. The-singles were begun oil nine Rrecus. Five rauiide arc being played to-day, and tho competition will bo continued to-morrow morning, and in the afternoon tho official opening will lie held onEeiiiiiera green. The pairs .begin on Friday, and the full rinks on Monday. Four hundred bowlers, representing forty-eight clubs, are participating.
