The conference between representotivea of the Tramway Union and the Eoslyn and the Kaikorai I'ram Companies today ended in a deadlook. The companies' delegates announced that their directors considered that hill companies could not pay the wages agreed toby the City Council which they regarded as excessive ana mare than tho receipts would warrant.
