Shearing operations in the Wairarapa are now well- advanced. The season has been.,the latest on-"record. 'Very few lambs are being shorn. It is pToposed that'the buildings on the training farm at the Taratahi, together with the equipment, 'will be tho-.sauie as on an up-to-date-farm. In all • probability, poultry-raising and bee culture will be adjuncts to the farm. It is expected that Dr. C. .T. Reakes will be' one of the Board of Managers, . ;. . According to published statistics, the deaths in Masterton from the influenza epidemic were fewer in number, thnn in any township with a sirnilnr population in New Zealand.' . .' '"
