Myers, Acting-Min-ister of iinance, stated that .New Zealand s war expenses to November 30, 1918, amounted to J251,000,000, and her war loans to date to interest and sinking fund on the latter sum being about .£3,500,000. . On being interviewed to-day Mr. Myers states that of the .£04,000,000 borrowed, •■£1,110,000 had been raised at 31 per cent interest, 4? millions ut 4 per* cent 38 millions. at 4J per .cent., iand 191 "millions at 5 per cent. He added that 22i millions had been raised in London and 4U millions in New Zealand. .','•' The amount of loans raised, in New Zealand for war purposes from April 1, 1918, to December 19, was a .little.over 14 millions, while for other purposes It millions had been subscribed.
