There are'some Americans who do not believe that their .country won ,the war. The following letter, under the heading "Meaning Lloyd George," appeared ree'ently in a San Francisco newspaper:- ■ ."Lest we forget, there were other na- , tions and other statesmen.iri the war before we got in. Although small in stature, he lias carried the mam burdens of the war from the start; on dark and tfoomy days ho electrified the world with his brilliant and encouraging speeches; he unified the Allied armies.under Foch, and has done.moro. for Jiumamty thau any statesman living or dead.
