WIRELESS ON MERCHANT VESSELS

Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd., yesterday informed a Dominion reporter that wireIces telegraphy on merchant vessels has come'into its own again, as notification has been given that the restrictions which were due to war conditions have been removed. This means that whereas during the war period little more than messages concerned with the safety of the ship went out from the aerials, private messages between vessel and shore, and vessel and vessel, may now he sent. The permission given to merchant vessels will not, of course, extend to hospital ships or ships carrying troops; ' /
