There has been some talk about why our air machines do not carry parachutes (said the London "National News" before the war ended). Well, parachutes are carried.- But although thore is no order to the effect, it i 3 a point of honour with, our airmen not to quit their machines if thore is a_ chance it will reach the gro.iind otherwise than an absolute wreck. In that ease they-intlst take the risk, and, if tbey are alive, crawl out of the machine and" bomb it fo bits. A good example of the spirit of the I.A.F. The great number of flying machines in France was making an unprecedented demand for castor oil for lubrication. The United States, the second world-pro-ducer of castor oil, is stimulating the growth of tho castor oil bean in the South.
