Tlio Science Congress arranged by tho New Zealand Institute- will be held in Christchurch on February i to February 8 inclusive. The. president of tho Institute, Dr. L. Cockayne, will deliver his presidential address in the opening- dny, find it is expected- that the GovernorGeneral and (ho Minister for Internal Aft'iiirs will be present on Hint occasion. Tlie programme is a lengthy one. Public lectures '.ire to be given each evening by prominent Nuv Zealand scientific men, Mid tho dny sessions will bo devoted to the rending and discussing of papers. 'Hie Congress is to bo divided into sections.
