Since the beginning of the war over 90,000 pensions have been granted in Great Britain to the mothers of unmarried soldiers killed in action, on whom they were previously dependent. Sawdust dressings for wounds have been extensively used in Rumania owing to tho great scarcity of medical supplies in that country.
