At the Mansion House. London, under the Defence of the Realm Regulations, David Assersolin was charged with certain nets calculated to render war material partially ineffective and acts calculated to deceive the Ministry of Munitions. Defendant obtained a contract from an East Anglian firm for tho supply of aeroplane accessories, including tanks for aeroplanes. Theso tanks had to be constructed according to specification. A sample tank was rejectod, and allegations ivero mado that in respect of another tank subsequently delivered it was defective in regard to the work of riveting tho seams of the tank, and so calculated to be a fJDurco of dnngcr. The defendant gave evidence of a technical character in support of his contention that the tanks' were properly constructed, and perfectly safe. Tho Magistrate imposed a penalty of £100, with JC2I casts, on each of the three, summonses—«C3fl3 altogether. Notice of appeal was givon. SMILE IN THE MIRROR.
