IMPERIAL OFFICERS
-*- KETURNING TO BRITAIN. ' Sonle of the Imperial officers who have served the New Zealand Defence Department during tho period of the war are to return to the United Kingdom next year. 'Their period of engagement was for the war only. Several of these officers have been on active service during the.war. Others have been held 'hers against their own wishes, because their services were considered' to be indispensable in the management of the New Zealand training canips and the training of tens of thousauds ,of New Zealand soldiers. The officers who are likely to return to Britain include:—Surgeon-General E. S. F. Henderson, C.8., Director-General of Medical Services; Colonel C. M. Gibbon, C.M;G., 1.G.5., Chief of the General Staff; Colonel,C. R. Macdonald, C.M.G., 1.G.5., Director of Infantry Training in the reinforcement canips; LieutenantColonel R. Neave, Essex Regiment, Infantry Instructor, reinforcement training camps; Major H. A. Cooper. 1.G.5., General Staff officer, Otago military district; Major Sir E. Walker, Bart., Coldstreanv Guards, General Staff officer, Auckland district; and Major P. E. Ostler, A.S.C., Director of Supplies and Transport.
