Q * SOME OF THE ATTRACTIONS.'- ' During the Christmas'' holidays t&ere will be various attractions in 'Wellington. A rink bowling tournarae'nt will entertain some 200 bowlers for a week, commencing on Thursday morning (Boxing Day). Given fine weather the final game in this tourney may take place on the Wellington Club's green on New Year's Day.
The Roman Catholic schools' annual picnic will be held at Seatoun Park'on Boxing Day. ! , To-morrow evening the Wellington Choral Union will give a second performance of "The Messiah" in the Town Hall. Those proprietors of picture theatres who satisfy the Town Clerk as to the suitable nature of their programmes will be permitted to open on Christinas Day and evening.
Owing to the dislocation of the steamer service between Sydney and Wellington, Williamson's Musical Comedy Company will be unable to open on Boxing Night as arranged. According to an advertisement the company is to leave Sydney by the first steamer. Otherwise interest in evening entertainments will centre in the picture theatres, with that inimitable fun-maker, Charlie Chaplin, in evidence at the King's and Everybody's Theatres.
A. regular service of steamers will ply between Wellington, l>ay,'s Bay, and Rona Bay during the holidiys. ' ■ In addition to the ordinary Sunday service of trams, extra cars will be run to-morrow (Christmas Day) to connect with and meet the trains. There will 'bo special fares for the ''extra" morning cars—3d. for one section and fid. for two or more sections. A full service at qrdinary .rates will be nut, as usual, on Boxing Day.
