The White Star liner Eiinic,' by which Iho French mission sailed from Melbourne for Auckland on Sunday last, is a twin-screw foni'-niasted Kteel steamer of 12,430 tons gross register. Sho was built by Harland and Wolff, Ltd., of Belfast, in 1900, and is registered at Liverpool. The Runic is 550 feet in length, 63 feet in breadth, and has a depth of 39 foe): !) inches. Sho is fitted with refrigerating machinery. For years she has been ongaged in '.ho Atlantic cargocarrying trade, and is new to these waters.
