Tho following is a copy of a letter received ,by the Advisory Board of the Patriotic ■ Societies from' Headquarters, Egypt, regarding regimental finds:— "In reference to your letter of August 20, 1918, to Major-General Si<r Edward Chayfov and subsequent wire, informing him that ,£230 per month had been placed aside for 1 New Zealand troops in the field in Palestine and Syria, General' Chaytor, being in the field, is unable to answer your letter personally, but has ashed me to write for him, and to tliank you on behalf of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force troops in 'Egypt for this monthly income, which has come at a most opportune time. "Two instalments have already been received by the base cashier. GeneralChaytor himself having personally supervised the allotment.' Schedule of the •distribution is-given below.
