In the. senior division, East and Heturned Soldiers opened iv two-day mntcli at the Basin fleservo on Saturday. Tho weather was windy'and threatened rain, ami while- it held up pretty well, it made tho conditions of play rather unpleasant at limes. Returned soldiers played with one man short, went in first and niailoa total, of 120, to. which East replied-with 105- for eeven wickets. 1-itst will resume their innings next Saturday. North made 92 for six wickets (Manson 31, Moss 19).. Returned Soldiers v. Imperial Supplies. ■ —Returned Soldiers, who played only nine men, made 62 in the first inning's (Bolton and Brett each 21). Imperial Supplies compiled 1115 (Lynaui 74. Ehodes 35", and Diuuop 24). Bowling for Imperial Supplies, Dunlop took five wickets 27 runs, and Taylor three for 28. The senior match set down for T'etone Recreation Ground on Saturday was not played owing to the inclement' weather. Thorndon v.
