Tho Hon. G. W. Hussell, Minister of Internal Affairs, stated in Christchnrch on Friday that instructions had .been [riven to de.sign a certificate for workers in the epidemic campaign in tho Dominion. It would bo neat, and, he hoped, would contain graceful acknowledgment of the work done, and it would be of a size nnd shape that would make it suitable for framing and hunging on a wall. The idea arose out of a suggestion in Parliament by Mr. A. S. Malcohn, M.P., but suggestions on Ihe same lines were made by penjile in different parts of the. Dominion. Care would be taken (hat the certificate was given to only those who had rendered valuable service to the community. The certificate, probably, will be awarded on the recommendation of a local committee. Mr. Russell has received a specimen of the certificates issued by the Central Bureau Committee in Dunedin. It is a card 1 inches square, certifying that the person has given service and showing the character of the 6ervice. It is signed by the officer in charge of the Department and countersigned by tho officer in charge of the bureau.
