BACON AND HAM PRICES
An Order-in-Coiincil issued yesterday fixes the 'maximum prices of bacon and ham from January G next. The schedule states: —The maximum price of bacon and ham, when sold by the manufacturer or wholesale merchant upon the u«ual trade terms as to payment, delivery, or otherwise which obtained on. December 1. 1017. shall be us follows:— Sides Is. lid. per lb.; hums, Is. 2Jd. per lb.; and rolls, Is. 3Jd. per lb. When sold otherwise than on the usual trade, terms as aforesaid, then the maximum price thereof shall be a price equivalent as regards ' the seller to the maximum price above-mentioned.
